I’ve been so intrigued with the life and story of Marie Antoinette lately. Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film beautifully captured the Dauphine’s essence using simple aesthetics. Her soundtrack for the film especially caught my attention. I was completely inspired and decided to recreate the soundtrack using a more “modern” sound. Like Sofia, I’ve hand-picked certain songs that bring back a familiar nostalgia of my teenage years. I listened to the albums We Are Pilots by Shiny Toy Guns and Give Up by The Postal Service almost constantly. I hope you enjoy this one!For an even better experience: watch this video.
